IX of Pentacles is a queer-owned and operated business providing a space for LGBTQIA+ or any other marginalized people. IXoP refuses to apply any tattoos or symbols representing far right, hate groups, or militias that discriminate or marginalize anyone for sexual preference, gender identity, race, religion, or any other subject.

IXoP’s environment is intentionally open, clean, and calming – a deviation from typical tattoo shops blaring loud music with walls plastered with 20+ year old flash art.

We provide custom, professional tattoos in a judgment-free space, ensuring every client feels safe, respected, and comfortable.

Opened in August 2023 by Travis Campion and Star 9 Warne, IX of Pentacles is located in Boise, ID’s historic West End. The shop is uniquely designed with fine art installations and a serene atmosphere, distinguishing it from conventional tattoo parlors.

IX of Pentacles has partnered with local queer, anarchist, socialist, and anti-fascist groups to provide literature and information for how to combat the far-right regime that has controlled the state of Idaho for far too long. IXoP has partnered with Idaho Abortion Rights to offer free abortion pills, contraception, and literature.

IXoP is a proud underwriter of community radio, KRBX, Radio Boise.

Are you a tattoo artist?

IXoP is looking for two experienced tattoo artists. We prefer someone that has had a full apprenticeship and some formal art education. But there are always exceptions for exceptional people. If you’re interested in working at IXoP, inquire here or stop in the shop and meet us.
